Nantucket, Nantucket, Nantucket…
You can see and do a lot on Nantucket in one day. I might as well let the pictures do the talking for our experience on the island. It was so perfect – like the scene from a fictional novel. Nantucket is 105 square miles which makes it easy to cover a lot of ground within a day.
We rented mopeds from the Nantucket Bike Shop and had them to cruise around the island at our own will. They even provided us with a paper map (when’s the last time you used one of those?) to help us get around. We enjoyed getting lost on the winding roads while finding random towns and an abundance of beaches along the way.
We made sure to remember how to get back to our scheduled sailing tour with Endeavor Sailing Excursions in the middle of the day. It was easily one of the most awesome experiences ever. Seriously – salty air, cool breeze, the sound of waves… Do you want me to keep going?
Keep moving through the photos below to see how amazing the island is.
My words of advice are to go and do it; it’s worth the money. Book your 45 minute ferry on the Steamship Authority and make sure you get there next summer! You might just find me living in a tiny, little shack– and I can promise you I’ll be eternally happy.
